CELEBRITY BIG BROTHER

What's up guys??? Who's ready for this (er, well) star-studded version of this game we all love??? Now I realize that Celebrity BB is not exactly a new concept, this will just be the first US version, and also the first version I will have watched. Now keep in mind, it's a shorter version of the show, lasting approximately a month, so it's likely to be a whirlwind that's over before we know it!! As most of you know, the cast was announced last night during the Grammy's and without further ado, here's my bio recap!!

Ariadna GutiƩrrez
Age: 24
Hometown: Born in Sincelejo, Colombia but raised in Barranquilla, Colombia
Current city: Miami, Florida
Occupation: Actress, TV host, model

Three adjectives that describe you: Determined, optimistic, and generous.
Favorite activities: Family time, healthy living, and traveling.
What do you think will be the most difficult part of living inside the Big Brother house?
Not having direct contact with my family, especially with my father, and not knowing what to expect when I enter the house.
What moment in your career do you think prepared you to live in the Big Brother house?
My whole life has prepared me for an opportunity like this. Through very difficult experiences, which have taught me how to take advantage of every opportunity and make the best of whatever is thrown my way.
Which past Big Brother cast member did you like most?
I don't particularly have a favorite.
Do you have a strategy for winning the game?
No strategy. Just be myself, enjoy every day I'm in the house, and treat the rest of the Houseguests with the same respect I want to be treated with.
My life's motto is...
Everything happens for a reason.
What would you take into the house and why?
- My line of sunglasses. This is my new business and my "baby" so I want to share it with the world.
- Books to pass the time and continue to gain knowledge.
- Beauty kits to share with the other members of the house. One of my favorite hobbies.
Fun facts about yourself:
- I love cats, I have two of them.
- I love sweets—anything with chocolate!
- I have 10 nieces and nephews and I love spoiling them!
Okay right away, first impression is that she's never seen the show. That much is fairly obvious. I hope we don't have to hear about the sunglasses line 24/7. Not expecting much from this one.

Brandi Lynn Glanville
Age: 45
Hometown: Sacramento, California
Current city: Los Angeles, California
Occupation: Mom, New York Times bestselling author, beauty blogger, and reality TV personality
Three adjectives that describe you: Honest, outspoken, and loyal.
Favorite activities: Cooking and dancing.
What do you think will be the most difficult part of living inside the Big Brother house?
Being away from my two boys.
What moment in your career do you think prepared you to live in the Big Brother house?
I was born feet first with the cord wrapped around my neck three times and I refused to cry so I've pretty much been ready for anything from the jump. Do you have a strategy for winning the game? No, I'm just going to be myself and see what happens.
My life's motto is…
Never give up.
What would you take into the house and why?
- Clothes.
- Toiletries.
- Medications.
Fun facts about yourself:
- I'm a great cook.
- I write silly poems often.
- I was a (very tall) gymnast for nine years.
- I've had two books on the New York Times bestseller list. The first one hit number one.
- I have 13 best friends.
Brandi has been around the reality show block, so I know she's a firecracker. Will probably spar with at least one person within the first 24 hours. I'm not expecting much from her competition wise, but she's pretty smart so I'm not ruling her out just yet.

Chuck Liddell
Age: 48
Hometown: Santa Barbara, California
Current city: Calabasas, California
Occupation: Retired UFC Fighter/Entertainer
Three adjectives that describe you: Loyal, genuine, and competitive.
Favorite activities: Martial arts, playing with my kids, and any competitive games.
What do you think will be the most difficult part of living inside the Big Brother house?
It will be all the deception. What you see is what you get with me. I live my life based on simple principles and I do not deviate from them. I wear my heart on my sleeve. Being in the house will be extremely difficult for me because by nature I am not a schemer. This game will force me to get uncomfortable and I will have no choice but to lie, create fake alliances, manipulate, deceive people, and do a myriad of other things that I do not agree with in my real life.
What moment in your career do you think prepared you to live in the Big Brother house?
Winning the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship belt after being the coach on the first season of Ultimate Fighter.
Which past Big Brother cast member did you like most?
I like how Paul plays from Season 19 and how he explains why he plays the way he does as the show goes on.
Do you have a strategy for winning the game?
I am going to go into the house in the beginning the unassuming nice guy that I am, assess the other Houseguests, make a couple quick alliances, and play the rest of the game on my toes with the phrase in my head "eat or be eaten!" and be ready for things to turn at any moment.
My life's motto is…
Train hard, fight hard, play hard.
Fun facts about yourself:
- I am funny and a goofball.
- I am a complete spaz. Sometimes I have been called Tazmanian Devil.
- I am fiercely competitive and will use any advantage I can get in any game I play.
- One of my favorite games is Catch Phrase.
- Just after I became world champion I jumped off a balcony at Amnesia in Ibiza and landed on my feet like Spider-Man. I was completely nuts. Because of everyone's reactions and how cool it looked one of the crew attempted the same jump and ended up shattering both knees and being stuck in Ibiza for three months.
- I am the proud owner of a toy poodle named Simba.
- I am a hands-on father who changes diapers, does hair, bath, you name it. I will do anything for my kids.
- I love to go out with my friends. I used to be called the King of Vegas and people describe me as a party animal, but I am also extremely disciplined when I need to be.
- I like to be the best at everything I do.
- I am a snowboarder.
- I love fantasy football and I have been playing it for over 20 years.
- I have a degree in Accounting from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
- Oh yeah, I am also a singer.
Chuck!! Okay yes yes yes. I know. He said he was a fan of Paul. You know why?? He was probably in sequester and was given Season 19 to watch! If you didn't have feeds, and only watched the show... was there really anyone else to be a fan of??? I'm giving him a pass on this one. I like Chuck, he's a badass fighter but he's actually a big teddy bear with his kids. I predict he will be a fun one to watch. And I'm guessing he'll be good at physical comps.

James Maslow
Age: 27
Hometown: San Diego, California
Current city: Venice, California
Occupation: Actor/musician
Three adjectives that describe you: Focused, sarcastic, and woke.
Favorite activities: Working out, surfing, playing music, and working on my '72 Bronco.
What do you think will be the most difficult part of living inside the Big Brother house?
Not having the freedom to go and do what I'm used to. I definitely enjoy my own space and will have none of that.
What moment in your career do you think prepared you to live in the Big Brother house?
Being on my first tour. Definitely didn't have much room on that tour bus!
Which past Big Brother cast member did you like most?
The dude from Chill Town...Will.
Do you have a strategy for winning the game?
Pick who I think is the strongest player and team up with them.
My life's motto is…
Success comes when preparation meets opportunity. Not sure that will apply for this one though!
What would you take into the house and why?
Cards Against Humanity.
- A piano.
- Some books.
Fun facts about yourself:
- Used to ride horses (western) and considered going into rodeo for a while.
- I went hang gliding with a dude in Rio who didn't speak a word of English… that was trust.
- Love sailing. I want to own my own sailboat one day.
Take me to church , I'll worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies..... I mean come on. He's just dreamy. As for a Big Brother player, I predict he'll be too trusting and probably get burned. Although he is a fan of Will so maybe he's not as oblivious as we think.... I mostly just want to look at him. A+++ casting right there.

Keshia Knight Pulliam
Age: 38
Hometown: New Jersey
Current city: Atlanta, Georgia
Occupation: Actress and entrepreneur
Three adjectives that describe you: Optimistic, genuine, and loving.
Favorite activities: Spending time with family, the beach or pool and cooking.
What do you think will be the most difficult part of living inside the Big Brother house?
Being away from my daughter.
What moment in your career do you think prepared you to live in the Big Brother house?
Being an actor and in entertainment, you encounter many people who are pretending. I feel that as a result, it will help me identify authenticity or lack of it in my housemates.
Which past Big Brother cast member did you like most?
I don't have a favorite.
Do you have a strategy for winning the game?
Be present, observant, and win challenges.
My life's motto is...
Never let anyone steal my joy!
What would you take into the house and why?
My Keshia's Kitchen Spices because good food makes everyone happy!
Fun facts about yourself:
You will just have to watch and see!
Woman of few words I see. I definitely was not expecting this one. She's also been around the reality block so she knows how to work people. I predict her getting very far. Very smart woman. She doesn't appear to have knowledge of the BB game though which could work against her.

Marissa Jaret Winokur
Age: 44
Hometown: Bedford, New York
Current city: Toluca Lake, California
Occupation: Actress, director, and mother
Three adjectives that describe you: Loud, loyal, and feisty.

What do you think will be the most difficult part of living inside the Big Brother house?
Being away from my son and my dog. Oh yeah, and my husband...
What moment in your career do you think prepared you to live in the Big Brother house?
Being in the theater, you have to work closely with a lot of big personalities. I survived Harvey Fierstein in Hairspray.
Which past Big Brother cast member did you like most?
I have so many for different reasons! Rachel, Jordan, and Jessica are my trifecta.
Do you have a strategy for winning the game?
I'm going to play a social game. I'm going to try not to annoy Houseguests and talk too much. I'm also going to try to team up with some athletic house guests who can win physical challenges.
My life's motto is…
Life's too short, put cream cheese on it.
What would you take into the house and why?
- My 9-year-old son, because he knows how to play the game better than anyone. Although he would probably vote me out!
- More hair than will fit in my suitcase.
- Don Lemon, to keep up with my nightly ritual.
Fun facts about yourself:
- I like being sneaky.
- I can guess the calorie count in anything.
- I'm obsessed with the podcast My Favorite Murder.
- I love nature and being outdoors.
- I'm a BB superfan!
Ahhh finally a "superfan." Yeah I'll believe it when I see it. Don't get me wrong, she definitely seems like a big fan, but the term superfan should be reserved for feed-watchers. Don't watch feeds? Not a superfan. I predict this one will be out early. She seems very nice, but a very big personality. Probably loud and peppy. Doesn't bode well for the rest of this cast haha. Hopefully I'm wrong!

Mark McGrath
Age: 49
Hometown: Newport Beach, California
Current city: Studio City, California
Occupation: Musician, host
Three adjectives that describe you: Irish, spaz, and needy.
Favorite activities: Hanging with my kids, playing guitar, and running.
What do you think will be the most difficult part of living inside the Big Brother house?
Being away from my family, no doubt. Also, trying to sleep without earbuds because of my tinnitus, better known as ringing in my ears.
What moment in your career do you think prepared you to live in the Big Brother house?
Being in a band on tour with some erratic personalities, in the small confines of a tour bus, for months at a time... for the last 25 years!
Which past Big Brother cast member did you like most?
Of course the legends, Boogie and Evel Dick… but BB19 was strong with Cody and Jessica, and of course bringing Paul back. But my favorite ever was the Beantown legend and fellow hair streaker, Kevin… love that guy!
Do you have a strategy for winning the game?
Since this is a truncated, expedited version of the game, playing the wall might not be the best strategy. Hearts are gonna be broken early and there's nowhere to hide. So I figure you might as well come in hot!
My life's motto is…
"Just be nice." - Dalton Lee from the classic movie Roadhouse.
What would you take into the house and why?
Guitar. I might as well write a few songs while I'm there since I'm sure there'll be a ton of inspiration!
Fun facts about yourself:
- Three time Rock & Roll Jeopardy! champion.
- Once shot a half court shot at a Laker game at halftime for $50,000 with Jack Nicholson watching… I missed badly.
- Proud USC alumni.
Another fan! (Or what he's trying to portray I guess. Boogie and Evel Dick aren't exactly secret characters. And he could have watched BB19 in sequester.) He's going to be another big personality. Question is, will people get along with that or not? I'm guessing he and Chuck butt heads. Just a guess.

Metta World Peace
Age: 38
Hometown: Queens, New York
Current city: Los Angeles, California
Occupation: Basketball coach and philanthropist
Three adjectives that describe you: Ambitious, driven, and competitive.

What do you think will be the most difficult part of living inside the Big Brother house?
Trying to find a place to work out!
What moment in your career do you think prepared you to live in the Big Brother house?
When Kobe passed me the ball during Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals against the Phoenix Suns in 2010!
Which past Big Brother cast member did you like most?
Can't pick one.
Do you have a strategy for winning the game? Focusing on and implementing Phil Jackson's teaching methods.
My life's motto is…
Have fun no matter what you do.
What would you take into the house and why?
- My workout equipment so I can stay fit.
- Toothbrush.
- Toothpaste.
Fun facts about yourself:
- I love painting on canvases.
- I love looking at art galleries.
- I love going to the beach and sitting in the sand.
- I love telling my kids what to do to get them upset!
Okay I'll be honest, I had no idea who they were talking about with this one because I had no idea he had changed his name. Mostly I'm just gonna be fascinated by what he asks everyone to call him. Metta? Ron? World Peace? Um I laughed out loud when I read he wanted to take a toothbrush and toothpaste into the house. Won't he be surprised! Clearly never seen the show. He'll probably either be out early after self evicting or he'll be super boring. Idk.

Omarosa
Age: 43
Hometown: Youngstown, Ohio
Current city: Jacksonville, Florida
Occupation: Television personality
Three adjectives that describe you: Devoted, dynamic, and driven.
Favorite activities: As a newlywed, I enjoy traveling the world with my husband.
What do you think will be the most difficult part of living inside the Big Brother house?
The most difficult part of living in the house will be being away from my family.
What moment in your career do you think prepared you to live in the Big Brother house?
Nothing can really prepare you for an experience like this (unless you're a goldfish).
Which past Big Brother cast member did you like most?
Jeff and Jordan are adorable. Big Brother champ Evel Dick and Howard from Season 15 are two of my faves.
Do you have a strategy for winning the game?
My strategy is to enjoy this once in a lifetime experience!
My life's motto is…
If you want to go FAST, go alone, if you want to go FAR, go together!
What would you take into the house and why?
The Bible my husband bought me as a wedding gift.
Fun facts about yourself:
Big Brother fan.
- Military chaplain.
- Collegiate athlete.
- Avid golfer.
Ah Omarosa. This was brilliant casting if you ask me. She's a head turner. She definitely appears to be a real fan of the show, not a fake one. Howard isn't someone you just throw out there. She's obviously going to be good at this game, if she gets past the first couple weeks. If they were smart, they would get her out early, but something tells me she'll be around for the long  haul. Don't let her bio fool you, she's a studier of the game. And while she'll definitely enjoy herself, I'd be willing to bet she's already got a strategy. She may be a villain, but every season has to have one!

Ross Mathews
Age: 38
Hometown: Mt. Vernon, Washington
Current city: Los Angeles/Palm Springs, California
Occupation: TV host, judge, and personality
Three adjectives that describe you: Upbeat, kind-hearted, and competitive.

Being cut off from the outside world, my family, and pop culture.
What moment in your career do you think prepared you to live in the Big Brother house?
Endless hours of live TV!
Which past Big Brother cast member did you like most?
Janelle.
Do you have a strategy for winning the game?
Run the show from behind the scenes, be a BFF to everybody and let them underestimate me.
My life's motto is…
Pivot. Always be ready to pivot.
What would you take into the house and why?
- Playing cards to keep my mind busy.
- My Chihuahuas.
- Wi-Fi.
Fun facts about yourself:
- I played violin growing up.
- My first job was picking spinach.
- I like to think of myself as 60% Dorothy, 40% Rose.
- I'm going to run for mayor of Palm Springs someday.
- I can name all 21 of Meryl Streep's Oscar nominations.
Ross the Intern!! Another fan! He's going to be a nice breeze I think. If I had to guess, he'll probably have a strategy similar to Andy and Frankie. (Must be the gay thing.) Everyone will love him and no one will want to vote him out. Question is, will he remain under the radar like Andy or get himself caught like Frankie? Should be fun to watch!

Shannon Elizabeth
Age: 44
Hometown: Born in Houston, Texas. Grew up from third grade through high school in Waco, Texas, then lived in Los Angeles for 20+ years, and now my hometown is.....
Current city: Cape Town, South Africa
Occupation: Actress and conservationist
Three adjectives that describe you: Compassionate, focused, and persistent.
Favorite activities: My favorite activities are working with animals in any capacity, traveling, yoga, hiking, taking my dog, Peanut, to the beach, tennis, going to the gym, and watching Big Brother and The Amazing Race!
What do you think will be the most difficult part of living inside the Big Brother house?
I think it'll be most difficult to juggle many different personalities and to adapt to situations on the spot as they get thrown at me.
What moment in your career do you think prepared you to live in the Big Brother house?
I feel like I've had many different opportunities in my life that have helped to prepare me for the house. My career in acting has obviously prepared me so that I can go into the house and play a role, almost. I'll have to play the role of someone who can be friendly, backstabbing, deceitful, powerful, weak, and mysterious—just to name a few.
Which past Big Brother cast member did you like most?
It's definitely a toss up between… Dr. Will, Evel Dick, Dan Gheesling, and Janelle.
Do you have a strategy for winning the game?
My strategy is that I will constantly have to change my strategy. I have seen every single season ofBig Brother at least once, if not twice. I will need to pull from all of the best players and make it my own. I am hoping for some big, loud, outgoing personalities that can stand out as big targets right off the bat. I, meanwhile, will be setting up my alliance and picking people off one by one.
My life's motto is…
"UBUNTU." It's an African saying that comes from the languages of Xhosa and Zulu. It means "I am because we are." We are all interconnected. This includes all living —people, animals, plants, ecosystems, the planet, everything. And every decision we make every day has a lasting impact on the people and planet around us. Only through living in tolerance and respect for everything can we all thrive.
What would you take into the house and why?
- My dog Peanut. He just makes everything better all the time!
- An invisibility cloak.
- A computer so I could watch the Live Feeds for Celebrity Big Brother.
Fun facts about yourself:
- I used to play poker on the pro poker circuit for years.
- I was secretly an extra on Baywatch and the film Black Sheep before my career started. I wanted to get some on-set experience, but I never let my agents know.

Okay I'll be honest, when the cast was revealed, everyone seemed to know who this girl was. And I had no idea. (Don't throw things, but no I've never seen American Pie.) But reading up on her bio I was pretty impressed. She's clearly one of, if not the, biggest fan of BB on the cast. She's going to know a lot. Obviously this can be a huge help to get her further in the game. I don't know enough about her to know whether or not she has the strong will for the game, time will tell. I would say she'll probably go very far.
Well that pretty much wraps up the bios. I have to say, I'm not terribly disappointed in the casting! I love that there are lots of parents (a demographic that is typically minute in the regular casting of BB), and there seems to be a good mix of BB fans, and people who have never seen the show. (I'm still waiting on an all-superfan-season, BTW.) Bottom line, we get an extra season of Big Brother this year!!! Hooray!! So what do you guys think? Who's your favorite? Who's your pick to win? Who will get booted on the first night?? Let me know in the comments!!
